This was an amazing read. The atmosphere was palpable. I think this story will linger in my mind for a long while.

Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, very memorable setting and scenario. Great character. Hard to create a coming of age tale in such a short space but this worked well.

Glad you enjoyed it. I liked the setting as well. Our first story, A Hiss from the Mound by B. Harlan Crawford, has a colonial / North American indiginous vibe to it, if you haven't read it yet.
