Good story! I like the setting and use of Slavic mythology. I also like the sense of the larger world and global trade networks - references to Constantinople and Samarkand - but also the characters' unfamiliarity with what is right before them and how to best overcome the next physical obstacle ... and then they encounter the supernatural...
