Thanks, man. My philosophy is to publish stories I like, or that just click for me. I've had 3 or 4 great writers whom I've read and published before send me stories and it kills me to turn them down because the tale just didn't work for me. Doesn't mean they aren't good stories. They'll probably get published and appear elsewhere! But for this venue I just share what I like. ;)
Weaving a tale that easily unfolds in the mind's eye, H.H. Crom has managed to once again tell a story that has its roots in pulp with eyes set on the present. I saw hints of "Beyond the Black River" here, and finding Howard's influence is always something stupendous. And the Lawbringer is an intriguing character I'd love to know more of.
A no-nonsense slayer that is half grim, half mystery, I am reminded of holding the flash light for my dad when Gorm dropped the spear and Halfgrim gave him a look. Good tale, I anticipate more of the Cyrian landscape.
I came upon this story by happenstance, and stayed until the end. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I felt the Chieftain’s mercy was reminiscent of Pilate offering life from death on Passover, and loved the unyielding sense of duty of the Lawbringer. Also happy to see someone from Western, MA creating a solid yarn that I suspect REH would’ve loved.
Another excellent tale to get the blood pumping. You're spoiling us, Lyndon.

Thanks for reading Matt! Glad you enjoyed. Lyn is doing us all a huge favor with this work and this series!

I'm wondering if they become a duo. Thanks for reading and commenting.
It is definitely in the cards 😉
Great character this Lawbringer! A little fuzzy on the easy escape but a good story with a strong setting and hint of more.
Agreed. We need more! ;)

I was kind of worried about breaking protocol in the Hammer Hall and raising the ire of Chieftain Valdson!
Love to hear this!! Thanks so much for reading!
