This was a great read and interesting tale that I raced to the end to see how it turned out. I'll admit to not necessarily cheering for anyone in regards to their actions against each other, at least by the end, (maybe the squire). I would like to see how much further they get in their plans, or not.
Good observations - I too wondered about the non-sympathetic protagonist, but in this story it worked. I'd like to know if she succeeds in her schemes or if she will one day meet her match.
