Good stuff! The lightning scene was curt, but cool. Adrian Cole had a similar scene in Arminius, Bane of Eagles. If you haven’t read it, it is a modern classic
I expected some limb cutting but did not realize such a sincere exploration of fate and romance would make an appearance. Nice. Now I want to see how it goes for a warrior-poet cowboy named Bob in Carpathia.
