Rather good that was. It was nice to read Welgar's ongoing tale after recently discovering him through the Swords and Heroes anthology. The story took a turn I was not expecting, and I look forward to where this next patron goddess might take him.
In Riley's collection, which will come out next month via Kickstarter, there's an interim story between the two Welgar stories I've published so far. Plus, you could make the case that he's still cursed - but with a new master! ;)
An inner demon, insatiable appetites, battle with a goddess, life-draining subordinates: one would think I am talking about this story but I am in fact referencing a typical Friday night among my wife and kids. I digress. Another entertaining read!
Classic! Loved the descriptions of the frozen city, and the concept of a MC who hates sorcery but is possessed by a god. Good stuff.
Thanks for the comment. I'll tell the author. I know that's what he was shooting for.
I've just gone and ordered Savage Realms Monthly with "Dark Priestdom" in it, to read Welgar's first outing too. Cheers for the link in the intro.
Sweet!

There's a story in between as well. I'll have David's full series out on Kickstarter later this fall. ;)
Excellent. Look forward to it.
Good story! I am surprised Welgar has escaped his curse so soon.

For a short piece, it packed a wallop! From the pan possibly to the fire!
Plus a book combining all of Welgar’s trials? Sweet!
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss! lol

Happens to the best of us! Thanks for reading!
