Sorry to see you'll be retiring from publishing sword and sorcery material, but I can understand you must have overriding reasons why this is what must happen. Perhaps one day you'll be able to return to add your undeniable talents to the genre. In the meantime I wish you all the luck in whatever happens.
Thank you. Real life calls and I find I am not very good at juggling many things at once. But I hope once I get settled into my new chapter of life I'll be able to take up the mantle once again! (grin) So I'm down for now but not neccessarily out! haha
I will miss the Roundup and stories when you are done. No one is doing quite the same job you are. I'm glad I could contribute in my small way. Moving and coming out of semi-retirement is a major effort and I wish you the best! And of course, I hope you'll come back to it when life settles, but that would be another chapter...
Yes, agreed. I think I'll return but maybe 2026 once I get into the new groove of full time work again. Thanks for the kind words - I do think S&S Roundup and S&H eZine are a bit unique - this Substack newsletter is a great game changer in communicating with a specific community on a regular basis and bringing folks together of a shared interest.
Wow, but I totally understand. This Roundup takes work...as does all the writing, editing, and titles you have going! Thanks so much for having done this for so long, Lyn. And for the Swords & Heroes books and Ezine.
Dude, thank you and same to you. Your two volumes - Rage of the Behemoth and Return of the Sword - got me into S&S. My small footprint and short publishing venture has been fun, but your long-term impact will surely be missed. Best wishes as you wrap up Rogue Blades this year.
Thanks for everything! I've enjoyed all the stories you've published in the eZine, though I don't comment on all of them. Personally, I'm also grateful that you published my story there as well. God bless in everything, brother!
The best thing about editing and publishing? I get to meet great writers and make new connections. It's a great community and I hope to stay involved and/or get back to S&S in the near future. Thanks for sending me your story! And best wishes in your writing!

Sorry to hear this—I've enjoyed your curation work a lot. Hope the next phase goes well for you!
Thank you. I enjoy it a lot, I just can't juggle more than one thing at a time! haha
Wishing you all the best in whatever comes next, Lyn!
Thank you! Life's always an adventure! ;-)
